I just wanted to relay a story my wife Janine just told me about our veterinarian, Dr. Sharon Browning.
First, let me give you some back story. We got our dog Sampson from a rescue just over 5 months ago. He is a big lovable lug. If you've been to the office recently, you'll notice a picture of him and me. Anyway, Sampson has a bit of anxiety, especially at night. You see, we leave him alone during the day, so he sleeps most of the day. I even come home every day at lunch to walk him to try and get him some stimulation and wake him up, but by the time I go back to work, he's sleeping again. So, needless to say, if he's sleeping all day, he doesn't sleep much at night. He has a tendency to lick Janine's nose at midnight, then again at 3am and then again around 5ish. So not only is he not sleeping, neither is she.
Now most of you may be asking, where are you in all this Dr. Friedman. It's a fair question. I guess I'm just lucky he likes her better, although lately he'll go from her side to mine. So all this means neither of us are getting much sleep, and that is not good for anyone involved, including you our patients. How can we best perform our duties for you when not getting the 6 - 8 hours of deep uninterrupted sleep we need?
So on to Dr. Browning. The first time we brought Sampson in, she sat on the floor with him for an HOUR!!! That is service!! That's not even the best part. Janine stopped by on Friday to talk to Dr. Browning about Sampson's anxiety, she was in surgery, and called back on Saturday, left a very nice and detailed message about his anxiety treatment options, and then today, Monday, her day off, she came in and got us a natural anti-anxiety product along with some other suggestions she printed from the internet along with some hand written notes!!
As far as I'm concerned, that is service above and beyond the call of duty, and I am very grateful.
So this blog is my testimonial for Dr. Sharon Browning. Her practice is at TLC Animal Hospital, which is located on Dixie just north of Yamato on the east side of the road. Their number is 561-997-8090. For you veterinary needs, Dr. Browning is the best!!
